Michael H. Wood, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Wood has over 25 years of surgical experience and an extensive background in weight loss surgery with over 3,000 bariatric surgical procedures. He is Director of Bariatric Surgical Services at DMC’s Harper University Hospital. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery, Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Wood is board certified, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is the medical director and founder of ABMI. He is also an active member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS).


Jamokay Page Taylor, M.D.

Dr. Taylor specializes in Bariatric Surgery and General Surgery of Post Op Bariatric patients. He also performs trauma surgery at Sinai Grace Hospital and is an active member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS). He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and received his medical school training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Taylor was selected by Dr. Michael Wood from the Wayne State University residency program to train for Bariatric Surgery under the supervision of Dr. Wood and has performed or assisted in over 1,000 bariatric surgical procedures.
